The game of online poker is undoubtedly getting tougher and tougher. While new players continue to be introduced to the myriad of poker sites that seem to launch every week in hopes of carving out a niche, there are fewer now, compared to the amount of established and experienced players waiting to take their share of newcomers’ money.

Part of the reason is because the huge amounts of new players that came online over the last 2 or 3 years is waning although still significant as a growth industry. Another reason though is that many of those players have found it rather difficult to win consistently online, and just stop playing or play with insignificant bankrolls on a leisurely basis.

Understanding how tough this game can be is one of the reasons why designers and owners of software like Poker Tracker are pursuing new versions and updated products, because they understand that the rounders online are always looking for that extra edge over their opponents.

Poker Tracker can be thought of as the software for in depth after play analysis and on the fly help and statistics that may very well lead you to making more and more correct decisions at the table. Some players (especially new ones) will think it’s some sort of magic formula for winning instantly. It is certainly not that, but it will, however, present you with information on your own play and your opponents play to enable you to make the best decision in hand to hand combat situations.

Poker Tracker addresses two main components for study of your game which are self analysis and opponent analysis. You will need to delve into both aspects at some point, although for new players getting to know your own strengths and weaknesses may be a priority.

Not only does Poker Tracker help you with both of these vital areas of your game, but it has grown so much in popularity that other software designers have built poker calculators and software programs as add-ons to poker tracker to further enhance its effectiveness. Some of the more popular add-ons are Idleminer and Spade Eye which to a large degree automate the collections of data from your opponents, even with you not playing at the table. (This is known in the online poker industry as data-mining). Data-mining can get you into trouble with your poker client so be careful as to what you actually choose to use.

Poker Tracker does collect tournament information, but really this software is meant for cash and ring game players, as data collected for extended periods of time can be relied upon as an actual trend or style. If you are in doubt about Poker Tracker take it from the thousands of rounder pros who run this software as much as you and I might turn on our computer.

As for the learning curve with Poker Tracker, it is daunting, but that also goes along with how much of a business-like attitude you are bringing to your game.

Marty Smith has a full review of Poker Tracker at PokerCalculatorReport.com. You can find video reviews of all the online poker calculators there so you can see them being used before you decide which one is right for you. He also has a tournament strategy video series that is free just for signing up.

Online gambling has become known as one of the most popular online activity, with labors being made to come up with newer updated technologies and rules, meant to provide a secure situation than even the best land casinos in Las Vegas. Going by the statistics, the online casino industry is one of the most profitable industries in the internet world today. The easy convenience of casino websites within the bounds of our homes, accounts for its growing popularity. The state of affairs is such, that people, who have never visited a casino in real life, make their first come upon online.

Like every other game, online casino too has its own set of casino rules that harshly need to be adhered to. To begin with, the player should not be less than eighteen years of age. This is the legal age limit for every participating player. It is important for the players to read and understand the clauses of the website before settle to gamble online.

Downloading the casino software should be the next step to go after. In fact, most of the casino websites make it obligatory for the software to be downloaded first. This is really important as the compatibility of the casino gambling players’ computers will resolve efficiency and speed of the software download.

Next is the rule of setting up an online casino account to allow the players to gamble online. Often, these accounts are opened after the player makes an first deposit. However, it is important to go through the site and learn about the games rules for deposition of money from there itself.

Dissimilar sites follow different rules with regard to the bonuses presented to players. Players who open a new casino account are often rewarded bonuses of varying percentages by the websites. Besides, there are a few sites that have banned American players from participating in the online casino games outstanding to the haziness of American casino rules. On the other hand, there sites that do not object to those casino sites which give your support to charity.

With additional growth of the online casino industry, newer casino online rules are surely going to come up. For most casino players, it would indeed be great if they manage to get hold of free no deposit poker bankrolls. Opening an account with Neteller, participating in freeroll tournaments, and signing up with affiliate poker sites are some of the brilliant ways to create a free online poker bankroll. This would allow casino players to learn various strategies of playing poker online. So organize yourself to to follow casino rules and play safe all along!

But the sites which still accept players from the USA have, certainly, shown growth. Thus, on the very eve of the New Year 2008 PokerStars announced about achievement of 150 000 poker players simultaneously, but still these growth rates are not more than 50 percent per year.

Curiously enough, the slowdown of online poker room players was also very noticeable offline. For the first time over many years at the main WSOP tournament there were fewer players than the previous year, at this, approximately 20 percent less. Earlier a large number of gamblers were presented by online poker rooms, but decrease in the number of American gamblers online, as well as tougher rules concerning the advertising of online poker rooms at the tournament resulted in the rooms being passive in involvement of gamblers for WSOP.

If everything is bad in America, than in Europe the situation is contradictory. On the one hand, the EU did not allow the Italians, trying to ban online casino games, to do it. A new law in Great Britain not only legalizes online wagering as well as allows advertising online casinos, however, the company should be licensed in the EU. In connection with this, Malta, which has become the centre of online companies in Europe, has a windfall and will manage to earn quite some money. On the other hand, Germany passed a law right on New Year’s Eve which banned online casino games and their advertising, though, everybody considers that the EU will make the German repeal the law in question. For quite a while there are rumours in the air that Norway will ban online casino games, Turkey, though it is not quite a European country but it has also imposed a ban.

As for online poker, there was a rift within online poker rooms awaiting for its resolution. For the first time fraud in an online poker room was proved and accepted (to be more exact, not the room itself, but of one of its senior managers). Absolute Poker confessed that one of the managers gained access to the players’ cards (he knew all the pocket cards, but not the cards which drop out at the flop/turn/river). He shared this information with his partner who managed to win a big tournament. To prove everything was possible due to a mere mistake in sending of the history which was received by another participant of the disastrous tournament. Absolute Poker made an investigation, promised to refund losses to all those who suffered and toughen the security system. Though, Absolute Poker cheating scandal has caused damage not only for a poker-room, as well as the industry as a whole, however, this blow is not deadly.

From the technical point of view, the past year has not brought anything new. The mobile poker, 3D-poker, are being gradually developed, but all this appeared even earlier. Online poker rooms actively create versions not to be downloaded, add new games, improve the interface, add new methods of payment and change table sizes.

What is awaiting us in the course of the year 2008 which has set in? I doubt whether it is worthwhile waiting for a breakthrough. The period of heavy growth in online gambling industry has already terminated, the period of consolidation is coming, the time of struggle for new casino players. Poker networks will continue to grow (both as regards the number of rooms and gamblers), evidently, there will be mergers and takeovers. Advertising budgets will grow, but players will hardly be able to make a profit out of it - casino bonus conditions will most probably worsen. The level of gamblers will slowly but surely grow, most likely, so that the competition will grow at tables. Hopefully, you won’t suffer from all these trends, I wish you success in game and happy year!

Omaha poker is very much similar to another type of poker, the Texas Holdem. The player must also create a five-card poker hand both from the pocket cards and the community cards. A deck of 5-cards is used in this type of poker game.

About ten people can play the game.

Omaha poker, however, is different in the number of faced-down pocket cards that each player is given by the dealer. In Omaha, players are dealt with four cards as opposed to the two cards in Texas Holdem.

Still, players are given five community cards which they can use. This amounts to a total of nine cards that they can choose from when creating the best hand. However, players must use their two pocket cards and their three community cards in coming up with the best five-card hand. Because there are more cards to choose from, poker hands in Omaha Poker are stronger compared to other types of poker games.

Basically, Omaha poker can reach up to four rounds, provided that there are two players left to play and battle it out for the pot money. If everyone has folded, the game and the pot money of course goes to the last remaining player. During the first round of betting, the players are given four cards that are faced-down.

The dealer will then place three community cards at the center of the table, which the players can use for their hand. These cards are dealt with faced up. The next round, which is often called “Turn” in poker lingo, involves the dealer placing one community card faced –up on the table. The final round or the river also involves the dealing of another faced-up card on the table. For each round, players can bet, raise the stakes, or fold.

Because there are more cards involved and the possibility that a good card will be dealt with later in the game, players in Omaha poker often stay until the flop before folding.

Basic strategy

Omaha poker is undisputedly more complicated than Texas Holdem because of the fact that players will have to make guesses on four of the cards instead of only two in Texas Holdem. Another is the fact that with the players going to use two of the cards in the pocket cards and three in the community cards, the possibilities and the combinations of the hands are greater. It is much more difficult for a player to guess the outcome of the game in Omaha poker than in some poker game types.

One variation of the Omaha poker is the Omaha Hi/Lo, which is quite the rage in the United States. In fact, it is the Hi/Lo variation that are often seen in US casinos as opposed to the Hi variation, which quite prevalent in European casinos. The name Hi/Lo is actually a shortcut for Hi/Lo split, eight or better.

In Omaha Hi/Lo, it is not the one with high hand that is given the pot money. The player with the best hand will have to split the pot money with the player with the lowest hand, provided that his hand can meet some requirements. If there is no low hand that can meet the requirements, then the best player will get the full pot money.

The “button” is used to indicate the dealer position, after each hand it moves one place to the left. Before any cards are dealt, the first player to the left of the dealer posts the “small blind”. The player to his left posts the “big blind.”

In a $2/$4 Texas Hold’em game, the “small blind” is $1, and the “big blind” is $2. Blind bets are live, real money bets, and when the betting comes round to them, they have the option of folding, checking, calling or raising.

Beginning with the small blind, each player receives two cards face down, one at a time, in a clockwise direction.

The player to the left of the “big blind” is first to act, he must either fold, bet the minimum bet, raise or check. The next player must either fold, call the current bet, raise, or check (if no bets have been made). This continues all round the table until all players have bet the same amount of money.

There can be 1 bet and 3 raises maximum in each round of Texas Hold’em betting.

The Flop:

After all bets are equal, 3 cards are simultaneously turned face up in the centre of the table; this is called the “flop”. There now follows a round of betting, starting with the player to the left of the dealer.

The Turn:

After betting is equal, the fourth communal card, the “turn”, is turned face up in the centre of the table. This is followed by a round of betting.

The River:

After betting is complete, the fifth and final communal card, the “river”, is turned face up in the centre of the table, alongside the previous four.

A final round of betting now follows. Once betting is finished the players show their best five card hand made from the 2 hole cards and the 5 communal cards. The first person to show their cards is the last person to bet or raise. The best hand wins the pot.

In limit Texas Hold’em poker, the lower limit is used for the first 2 rounds and the higher limit for the second 2 rounds.

Betting handicap sports is one of the most exciting, thrilling, and profitable experiences you may ever have in your life. If you find the right professional handicapper to follow that you trust, you could be quitting your job, buying a new car, or even buying a new house with the profits you make off your sports picks.

Betting book sports is also a great way to bet. You need to find a professional handicapper that suites your needs. What you need to look for in a professional handicapper is a few things.

1. Charges a 1 time fee per month, extremely reasonable, 100% refundable if you do not have a profitable month.

2. Has an 82% or better winning percentage on all sports games. Also is very knowledgeable, spends 8+ hours a day researching sports games and coming up with the best sports pick through angles, trends, and analysis.

3. Proven month after month to be profitable. Never let’s you down and always gives you your picks on time with enough time for you to bet each day.

As you can see when looking for a professional handicapper it is very wise to find one you trust. There are many professional sports bettors out there that will rip you off and try to charge you over 50-100 dollars a pick! And you know what, there are people out there that are actually paying for this garbage. When you pay 50-100 dollars a pick and you lose, do the sports bettor offering you these picks refund your money? I DON’T THINK SO!

You really need to sit down and do some research. Betting sports spread is an extremely popular betting style which can be found across all lines of sports. Betting ncaa college basketball and nba pro picks can be extremely profitable on the spread. Some spreads out there are so appealing, but when you dig deeper you will find out that it is mainly due to an injury or some other factor.

The best piece of advice anyone has ever told me was, “If the bet seems to good to be true, more than likely it indeed is to good to be true”. There are some sincere professional sports handicappers out there looking to help you out and make you a stable income.

I have found mine and it was the best thing that could ever of happened to me. I have been paying $50.00 a month for the past 2 years and I have never looked back or regretted it. I have made such a great profit and living betting line online sports. On average I make $1000.00 a day or more betting sports online. You can make this to if your willing to risk it. I surely didn’t start out betting $300.00 per game, it was more like $5.00 to $10.00. I slowly built my bankroll enough, cashed out all my initial investments, and have been playing with pure profits ever since. I don’t care what anyone says, you can make a great living betting line sports. Good luck on your road to success!

When choosing a sports betting system, there are many things that go into the selection process. Usually the first thing that comes to mind is the pricing of the system. Another that comes to mind is what you actually get with the system. But the most important thing to consider is the win percentage. How often does the system pick winning bets? Lets take a look at these.

Pricing

Why does the pricing play such a big role if you really want to bet on the sports? Any price should be viewed as an investment in your future profits because if you’ve chosen a good system, the investment will more than likely pay for itself in a short period of time. This is a very important thing to keep in mind. Not all sports betting systems are priced exactly the same way, and this is why you need to way the price against what you get with the system. This determines the value.

Value

When looking at the value of a system you are interested in a few things. You want a system that is easy to understand and use. Another important thing is support. You need support from someone who actually knows how to bet on the sports and is available to answer your questions from time to time. You also need a sports betting system that makes good picks on a consistent basis.

Win Percentage

If you’ve found a great system, with a good price, and good support what else are you looking for. You want to pick a winner above all else. What good is a system that can’t make winning picks? The percentage at which the system makes solid, winning picks outweighs most of the other benefits that the system comes with. If you are able to use a system that picks winners a very good portion of the time, you will become a very good sports bettor in no time. Do you know why? Its because of your sports betting system.

Did you know that there is a man out there who actually wins 97% of the bets that he places? If you want to find out a little bit more about him and his system check out The Sports Betting Champ System.

If you’re not new to the Internet you know the U.S. Government has been coming down hard on illegal online betting. This means placing wagers on websites, which are not based in the United States. In fact many credit card companies will and do block transactions to offshore illegal gambling sites.

But what if you want to bet horse racing? After all horse betting is legal in most every State in the USA, isn’t it? Yes it is. And there are ways to place your horse racing bets online safely and securely without fear of being accused of “illegal” wagering.

There is a problem with online horse racing betting, however. Some States, in order to protect their tax revenues derived from their State-run satellite betting and Off Track Betting parlors, have blocked legal horse betting sites from access with their State.

I know it sounds unfair, and pretty much, it is. But such is life when you’re dealing with tax revenues. On the bright side, there are sites you can place your wagers on, and here are three of my favorites - starting with the best:

Youbet.com - based in Woodland Hills, California, they are a publicly traded company that is certified and approved to accept online horse wagers. To see if their services are available in your State call: 1-888-YOUBET-8

TVG.com - is another great choice. In fact they have their own Cable TV station and run a class act. To see if their services are available in your State call: 1-888-PLAY-TVG

Racingchannel.com - I love this site just for their huge archives of horse racing, greyhound racing and harness racing results. You can get lost for hours in the results area. Located in Bensalem, Pennsylvania you can all them at: 1-866-722-3386

I did come across a bit of trouble when using these sites and it is this - even though these are legal USA-based horse-betting sites, my debit card transactions were still blocked by both VISA and MasterCard and flagged as offshore gambling. Even though I called and explained to them, they still refused to make payment - and I ended up sending a money order.

So whether you’re a weekend player, a professional or have the hottest horse racing system around, you CAN legally bet on horse racing on the Internet.

Denny’s books are available at http://www.lulu.com, Amazon and other online book stores.

Freeroll Poker Tournaments are becoming one of the growing ways to increase your bankroll and a lot of the smarter players see them as a great way of playing their game. Poker Freerolls are an excellent way for both new and experienced players to win some cash and increase their Poker profits whilst risking any of their bank. In short, a Poker Freeroll is a free to enter poker tournament, usually played online.

Poker Freerolls are usually formed in the Texas Holdem variation of poker and they may be for either the Pot Limit or No Limits types of Texas Holdem. I think that this is because Texas Holdem is currently the most popular form of Poker across the world and is more likely to attract more players. Some freerolls are available for anyone to join as long as you are registered to that casino, some are only available to enter if you have earned incentives from that casino by playing other cash games, such as a player points system; for example, you may only play this freeroll if you have 200 Casino Points.

Many of the online poker providers offer a freeroll tournament at least once a day, and as long as you have registered an account and you meet the qualifying criteria you may participate in the game. Most do not require that you make a deposit before you play for the New Players Freerolls, just download the software, register your account and visit the relevant section of the site to find the game to play.
