Classic Game Room E3 Report: JOHN DALY’S PROSTROKE GOLF and V8 SUPERSTARS

Classic Game Room plays on the Playstation Move on PS3 with John Daly’s Prostroke Gold from publisher 505 Games. CGR also drives like a manic in the budget priced driving game for PS3 / Xbox 360 called V8 SUPERSTARS RACING which was a decent driving game with fast paced action. This CGR E3 2010 report has gameplay from John Day’s Golf on PS3 and game play from V8 Superstars Racing on Playstation 3.

    @javierortiz82 How is it more accurate may I ask? I didn’t really notice it lags till you pointed it out, and i watched it again and it does lag, lol epic fail, even the wii remote doesn’t lag.

    I got to tell you guys, check out John Dalys Prostroke golf it was easily the best game i saw at the show, the move control was awesome no lag at all (unlike Tiger Woods) with move allowing you to open and close the clubface for fades and draws!!

    @javierortiz82 it really doesnt matter if it is a camera or the controller, the point is sony had thier technology they advanced on that technology , they obviously realised they needed buttons since they emphasise it allot. and that wasnt even the point of this arguement, your point was that the “move” lags, the answer and the fact is NO it does not, the. and dont try to educate me on how move works, i practically worked on the project.

    @javierortiz82 Umm, I don’t know what’s going on here, but if you’re going to not qualify the Eyetoy as a motion controller, then absolutely nothing is a motion controller except for kinect

    @outlawkelb You’re wrong again, the first motion sensing controller I met was the Microsoft Sidewinder Freestyle pro and it was in 1999, maybe there were some before it though. The Eyetoy is not a motion sensing controller, but a motion sensing camera, it is different, eyetoy worked more like a scanner than a controller, that’s why they needed two dildo-like things for the thing to work, it can only detect limited stuff, that’s the reason for the glowing orbs on the move.

    @javierortiz82 What you see in this is not a demo of the controller it is the demo of a game that is in alpha build, if you wanna see controller responce watch some E3 09′ move demo’s and you WILL see that that is zero lag when they show the controller in 3d space, it is precise 1:1 tracking, if you wanna whine about who copied you should realise that sony had the first motion sensing gaming with playstation eyetoy, it is only natural that they advance on that technology.

    @masteranimation2008 I read somewhere some tech stuff about it comparing it with the wiimote and the motion detection is more precise in a matter of distance and stuff (say, it’s more precise while detecting mild movements such a 2 milimeter movement, but that’s useless ’cause the games need to be calibrated in order to prevent the controller to detect constant small shake-like hand movement we all humans have). Wii was revolutionary, move is just a fad.

    @outlawkelb fanboy?, hell I don’t have a wii, nor a ps3, nor an xbox. The last console I bought was a Nintendo 64. But I’m saying the truth, you should’t be hurt by it, it’s not the first time sony takes a Nintendo idea and improves it (say snes controller, rumble pack, 3d stick, motion controllers, etc…) I don’t care if a game is on an alpha state or if it’s already finished, my critic isn’t even about a game, but about the controller, it has lag, even in this vid you can see it.
