    @cherdnork Yeah – on a smooth, dry track it’s close in speed.
    Where it falls flat on it’s arse is bumps, rain, potholes, uneven cambers, dirt, worn tyres, etc.
    They look nice though.

    @Precisionstonemaul. It depends what your definition of a slushbox is. Mine is of one that uses two pedals, i.e. something that changes gear for you. Either way the fact I deliberately expressed it as ‘slushbox’ should have been a big enough give away. The point of the test was to try clutchless cars, so why are you shocked they used a ‘slushbox’ scooby?

    DSG/S-tronic is a copyright name of the Volkswagen Group, Mitsubishi’s transmission is called SST.

    It is irrelevant what ‘your’ definition of a slushbox is. A slushbox is an automatic transmission which uses a torque converter, hence the SLUSH. A DSG is not a slushbox, end of story.

    Err a DSG transmission (such as that in the Golfs and the Evo) is so different to a ‘slushbox’ its irrelevant. A slushbox is not a DSG. So your point doesn’t make sense.

    @hondacar Now to a more related note to your comment the scirocco R(stock tires) beats badly the focus rs which had R-compound tires (toyo r888) badly on hockeneim short anything else to say ?
    The same story on Contidrom track, those are the tracks in which both cars have laps.

    Second of all it is not like the RR is miles faster than the stock type R yo begin with.
    Secondly you are talking about the ford RS i don’t know why are mentioning the Mugen RR.
    Thirdly what do you mean faster on the road, to my last knowledge roads are not a straight line and thus the rs can’t beat the R26R

    The RS Focus beats the R26R where it really counts.. …on the road.The R26R weighs as much as a paper bag 99% designed for track work.
    If the Focus was stripped out like the R26R ,it would easily beat it.
    It’s unfortunate that the Mugen RR Civic(FN2) wasn’t tested.That car has beaten the R26R in every track test.

    @ToURiSTaS84 EVO X weights 1560kg /Golf R weights 1466kg /Scirocco R weights 1298Kgs (FF car).
    The golf R pulled a slightly better time than scirocco R check the times at the end of the video or the starting line up as they do it in reverse.
    Exo X power per weight ratio =296bhp/1560kg=0.189
    Golf R power per weight ratio=256bhp/1466kg=0.174.
    Soooooo have a power per weight ratio way higher than the Golf 15%
    Not to mention the Evo has S-tires while the others had their stock tires

    I’m laughing hard at the people saying the Evo is faster it rules ect.
    Sure it is slightly faster than the golf and scirocco but the problem here, we are talking about cars that have 40hp less than the EVO while the EVO have S-tires and the others use their stock tires.
    the Type R and the VW Rs have the same power diffrence (40hp) as with the Subi and Evo but the diffrence is so huge between the type R and VW R while the evo is hardely pulling a better time with it S-tires.

    @ToURiSTaS84 exactly noticing the scirocco and golf Rs hold the second and third best times while being underpowerd by 40hp and the evo using S-tires. times that are so close to the evo one that it becomes shamefull….

    @seniary in terms of weight, the cars presented are about the same, the golf and the scirocco R have a 2.0L engine aswell BUT the exo have 40 more horses powers which is huuuuuuge! at 200hp not to mention the exo was using S-tires.

    @InitialDAmine Yeah your right, but my only defense would be.. Seeing as how i don’t know if those cars are AWD like the evo, the evo has a harder time pulling. Distributing the HP into all 4 wheels can be tough at a roll.
