    For those who blame the young guy —– This video only shows a fraction of the altercation. There’s another video around that shows the lady assaulting the young man just prior to the old mans attack. I would highly advise you to go find and watch this video before you come to any conclusions. Maybe this will give you a clear picture of the events that led up to the old mans attack and crowds ambush.

Maybe the old guy deserved to be sued for assault (and I doubt that would even make it to court), but the young guy CERTAINLY wasn’t a victim. Sometimes word can do as much arm as a punch. And people get sued for both everyday. He’s crossed the line and paid for it. Anyways, I think all three of them should have been thrown out.

    The young man was using profanity in public, which is disorderly conduct in NY (a violation.) The father/daughter requested him to stop, at which point he became belligerent. His behavior could reasonably be construed as menacing in the 2nd degree, which is a misdemeanor. Bottom line is the young man wasn’t really the Poor, Defenseless Victim™ that everyone here is portraying him to be.

    Back in the good ol’ days. If someone was being an ass whether at a bar or out in public, you could sock him in the face and people would curb from being a jackass in public. Nowadays, it’s up to the law and whoever inflicts physical harm that’s at fault? Isn’t this the whole logic of spanking a child, so that child learns when he’s being a brat? Some children never learn this and become adults. It’s up to other adults to knock some sense into them.
